AILEEN (LEE) WUORNOS (Charlize Theron), her good looks hardened by life, is standing in the dark on the side of a rain soaked Florida highway. She’s drenched and desperately in need of a shower. She’s got a gun in one hand and a five-dollar bill in the other and she’s trying to make a decision. The five-dollar bill wins. Lee puts away the gun and goes into the first bar she sees.
